Jane Ashmore was the Coordinator of Wraparound Northumberland for 17 years and facilitated Wraps with families throughout those years. She also has experience training and coaching Wraparound Facilitators and has been active in the Wraparound Association of Ontario as well as being a founding board member of Wrap Canada. Jane is a Co-Director of Wrap Canada’s Training Institute and has also been a member of Wrap Canada’s Editorial Committee. Jane has experienced the power of the Wraparound process in enabling families and individuals to build the life they want by building on their own unique strengths and connecting them with the strengths and assets of their community.
From personal experience, Jane knows that working in a local community is infinitely rewarding but challenging work. Local initiatives need the strength and direction of a national organization to provide support, ideas and enrichment to ensure that the Wraparound process remains true to its guiding principles and values while being flexibly applied in different communities across the country. It is for this reason that Jane is committed to the ongoing development of Wrap Canada.
