Jason Orchyk

Jason Orchyk started his career as a youth care worker working in foster and group homes, and as a youth crisis worker on a mobile crisis team, in the Winnipeg area. From there he spent the next 11 years with the provincial Employment and Income Assistance program, during which time he completed his Masters of Social Work focusing on Social Administration and Policy. He was then employed with the Department of Families in the Child Protection Division for nearly 5 years. He left that position to work for the Métis Child and Family Services Authority, where he was involved in various projects.

He was then asked to take a secondment with the Healthy Child Manitoba Office as the “High Fidelity Wraparound Provincial Coordinator”. After almost 2 years, he returned to the Métis CFS Authority where he quickly moved to the Metis Child, Family and Community Services agency as Director of Resources. Jason notes: “The agency is a good fit because it aligns closely with the High Fidelity Wraparound Principles”. Jason rejoins the Wrap Canada Board after a 2-year break, and he looks forward to serving in various capacities as needed.
