Saed leads Shift BC, a provincial social services initiative that supports individuals vulnerable to radicalization to violence. His work focuses on collaborative service delivery models that bring together social services, community organizations, and public safety partners to respond to complex social challenges.
Saed began his work in collaborative practice as a Wraparound Facilitator in Vancouver, supporting youth and families through the High Fidelity Wraparound model. That experience shaped his long-standing commitment to coordinated, multi-agency approaches that organize services around the strengths and needs of individuals and families. Since then, he has worked across government and community systems to implement collaborative models in areas ranging from youth services to public safety and community safety, including Wraparound and Situation Table approaches.
In addition to program leadership, Saed is widely recognized for his work in capacity building and practitioner training. He developed Canada’s first training curriculum for frontline professionals on countering radicalization to violence and has trained more than 1,000 practitioners across law enforcement, social services, education, healthcare, and community organizations. His training focuses on translating complex and emerging issues into practical tools that professionals can apply in their daily work.
